Vowel18: ( ٛ ) / n̂ , r̂ , ŷ

18: (  ٛ ) / n̂ , r̂ , ŷ : This symbol is only applied on the following three consonants: noon , re and ye ( ے , ر , ن ) n, r and y as n̂ , r̂ , ŷ. It is placed between two consonantal letters to indicate the lack of a vowel between the two joined symbols. For instance: ṭaⁿg/tan̂g (narrow), raⁿg / ran̂g (colour). It basically indicates the consonant cluster.
